Our 558 square foot bungalow sits in a tranquil and safe neighborhood.

Somers Point has some excellent restaurants and bars, and we are located just 8 minutes from the Ocean City, NJ, bridge. The bungalow is just a few blocks away from the Pleasantville-Somers Point bike path, Somers Point Beach marina, and restaurants.

The space
The Bungalow by the Bay is cozy and perfect for small families to enjoy. Our yard area offers a table for dining, grilling, playing games, or just chilling under the string lights after a day of venturing around town or into OCNJ.

Our fire pit area is perfect for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs and for regaling your family with tales of the day's past adventures.

We’re not sugar coating things. We live in an older beach bungalow. There have been some upgrades, but not many. We are hoping to renovate to entirety in the future but for now, what you see is what you get. The only bells and whistles can be found in the hot tub area. But the house is a great spot where we have had lots of amazing memories. As another reviewer stated, we are close to neighbors and have a 6 foot fence, so we recommend bringing robes for the hot tub and shutting the curtains. We received our first negative review and want to let guests know that we can’t be down there after each check-in/out. Unless you tell us what’s up..we won’t know. ***Please refrain from booking if you don’t communicate until the review. We will help rectify anything we can!

We have cleaners come between guests if they’re not holding up their end, We need to know!

We CANNOT guarantee early check-in. If we have same day turnovers, we need to be able to have ample time to clean the house, linens, and hot tub. We can always try to accommodate IF there are no guests scheduled before your stay.

We provide sheets, towels, and pillows. However, I always suggest bringing your favorite pillow and (depending on the season) a slightly heavier blanket, as we only have a coverlet on the master bed.

I also always suggest bringing a robe for the hot tub. Especially on cooler nights.

Lastly, we DO NOT have a bathtub or microwave. We do have a little toaster, a gas stove, and a grill.

ROKU for the TV. Since it’s a summer rental, we do not have cable for sporting events or news channels.

Other things to note
Driveway: We have a shared stone driveway and in order to respect our neighbors to the right, please stick to our side as close as possible. If you have two cars, please do not use our neighbors driveway to get out. Please keep pets on a leash or in carrier until they are in the yard or house.

AC and Heating:
Both bedrooms have remotes for the AC/Heating. The living room is controlled by the wall control. If you’re used to central air comfort, you may want to reconsider.

Shower: Both top and bottom handles need to be pulled all the way out for the shower to turn on.

Hot Tub: Keep covered locked and at 98 when not in use. Key is by the back door light switch. There is a little remote for the fairy lights there too.

Lawn maintenance:
Our landscaping company comes Friday mornings between 8-11. (We currently have him coming every other Friday due to weeding/seeding). We do not live on the property so we CANNOT be there to water the lawn. If you need a lush patch of grass…we are not the place to stay.

Meter readings: meters are located on the left side of the house in the yard. Since they do not tell us when they are coming, we are unable to tell you ahead of time. If you feel uncomfortable at any time, please tell them you are a guest and to come back at a later time and then let us know so we can reschedule if needed.

Amenities:
We try to keep the house stocked with some extras such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, olive oil, salt/pepper, firewood, propane for grill, and doggy waste bags. Sometimes guests have same day check ins so it’s hard for us to get over to replenish the stash before the best arrival. If you could be so kind to let us know when things are running low we would be so grateful!

Since we do not live close to the bungalow, if there is anything that needs immediate attention, we will try to get out local help within 24 hours.

Suggestions on what to bring: Bag of ice, water bottles, heavier blanket, your favorite pillows, robes for the hot tub, phone chargers, wash cloths, tissues, and bicycles.
