We've prepared for you a quiet, cozy home in the beautiful southern Utah desert where you can sit back and unwind. Relax with family and friends in the spacious living room and enjoy a late-night movie on the TV.
Fix a meal in the large, fully-stocked kitchen, equipped with blender, toaster, crock pot, 3 small glass baking dishes, cookie sheets, pots, pans, roasting pan, griddle, tupperware, and veggie tray. Share your meals together around the dining table or take a seat at the large kitchen island. Enjoy an evening BBQ outside and relax on the side deck while taking in the impressive desert views. There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops.
Equestrian and biking trails are also available.
Getting Around:
This home has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Just minutes away from downtown Kanab, this home makes accessing local restaurants, shops, and grocery stores easy!
Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places.
