Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Property was large and the kitchen was well equipped. We didn't do any cooking there but if you wanted to it would have been fine. Many rentals like this are obviously just "investment properties" and tend to be minimally setup for actually using things like the kitchens. This property obviously gets used by the owners and so the nice to have stuff was there. The beds were comfortable. The AC/heat worked well. The string lights outside were terrific and made the place look so nice at night.

Negative: This was an interesting property. The owners are very eco-conscious and the environment of the area demands a few compromises. The property runs completely off rain water. So there notices all around to conserve water. We were there in a time of year when rainfall was not an issue and our group was small so the demands for water was minimal. But if this was Texas summer with a full group of 6.... I might be worried about taking showers. Also I saw no indication that the water was potable so you need to bring your own bottled water. Secondly the Master bedroom bathroom had zero window coverings. One window that was straight in front of the toilet was less a problem since it was 8 ft off the ground on that side of the house and it was just dense brush outside the window. The other window that was literally adjacent to the shower looked out on the front porch and BBQ grill. The house is perfect for a small party or group gathering but people hanging out on the front porch may get more of a view than they bargained for if they walk by that window. The master BR also did not have window coverings either but that was okay since the view was so nice. But there is another property within 100yds of the rental so the feeling of privacy was limited.

Summary: Pleasant experience but need to be sure it meets your needs before booking.
