Summary: Great hotel conveniently located in Lancaster with plenty of amenities. Overall our stay was great and the staff was friendly. Hotel was clean and restaurant was good. The pool/mini indoor water park and game room are great for the kids. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because I compare it to what it was when it was Willow Valley resort. It's great for what it is now, but it lost a lot of the local authentic charm of the original Willow Valley resort. Some of what was removed includes the gift shops, bakery, hot tub + sauna, and most notably the smorgasbord restaurants. If I could offer any suggestions for improvement, it would be to infuse some of the local culture into the hotel. It will never be what it was, and it would probably not be financially viable to have a full smorgasbord style restaurant onsite. However, adding some Pennsylvania Dutch inspired entree options to the restaurant menu would make it feel less generic.
