Classic beach house that has been fully updated, without losing the charm of the Ocean Drive style. From the wood paneled walls to the large bedrooms and sitting areas, you will love the nostalgic, yet comfortable feeling you get from staying in Sand-Bar.
Just on the third row of houses from the beach, it is a short walk to plant yourself on one of the least crowded stretches of beach in North Myrtle. In the Tilghman section, you are surrounded by private homes and your view to the ocean is not obstructed by high rise condo buildings nor do you have to squeeze into a tiny spot on the beach. Spread your blanket and chairs, relax and watch the waves roll in.
Main Street Ocean Drive is just 7 blocks away - a great walk on a moonlit night after enjoying the amusement rides or arcade downtown. Or, take a short bike ride to grab lunch or do some shopping. Sand-Bar is conveniently nestled in a quaint section of the beach ,yet close to everything. But, be warned, when you leave the house, you will yearn for the sanctuary and quiet of Sand-Bar.
The large pool area at the rear of the house is fenced. There is plenty of deck space for your group. Make a cocktail and relax in the private setting, away from the sand and wind on the beach.
Inside the house you will find two big screen tv's, two separate family areas a fully stocked kitchen, a sun deck for relaxing, a covered deck downstairs and two enclosed porches. Two of the bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) are large enough to sleep a family of four in each, with one king bed and one queen bed in each.
Sand-Bar has been lovingly cared for by a single owner family since it was built in 1954. Close attention has been paid to comfort and style since we use the house all but a few weeks a year when it is available for rent.
