The Carriage House apartment is above garage space (yes, they actually had horses stabled here) at Three Oaks in Marlin with its own private access and represents a tasteful combination of old fashioned and contemporary furnishings. Light and airy, the cozy one bedroom apartment is fully furnished -- ready for one or two adult guests. The living area has an open concept— ideal to make meals in kitchen with Samsung appliances and all kitchen amenities. Enjoy a movie on one of the many premium streaming channels on the Smart TVs in both the living room and bedroom . There is a queen-sized bed and a clawfoot tub to soak away your day! Share the swimming pool with other guests and hosts after exploring all the wonders and beauty of Central Texas . Very well located in the center of Texas— 2 hours from DFW; 2hours from Houston and 1.5 hours from Austin. Marlin is a quiet rural town with limited amenities —— but it is a great place to start your Texas adventure! Don’t forget to visit the Magnolia—- Chip and Joanna Gains properties, Heritage Farm, Baylor University, Texas Ranger Museum, Dr. Pepper Museum and many other sites in Waco— 20 minutes north. Or, travel south on Highway 6 to College Station— and Gig’em Aggies!!! The Carriage House apartment is a great place to stay during college football season. The main house at Three Oaks is available for private tours upon request. The main house was built in 1918 and extensively renovated in 1943. It is available for small weddings, bridal or baby showers, parties, dinner parties or other events— sorry no overnight guests in the main house. Catering is available for all events. I have included photos of the living and dining room. Please contact Host if you are interested in holding your next event at Three Oaks!!!
There is a second smaller ground floor apartment in the Carriage House — apartment “B”— that will be available for guests in 2023. It will be dog friendly (complete with a private fenced in dog yard) and will be on ground level for our guests who require those amenities— so please check back on its availability.
